mukhayyam khoriji(25 Dec-29 Dec)

salam..sape2 yang nak ikut mukhayyam this weekend plz give me ur name before 2 p.m-U

i was at home when i read this short notice.short moment after that, my phone was out of battery and i don't reply the message. after that, no one ask me about the mukhayyam again. later, i have plan to finish up all my assignments by this weekend. i also made promise with my friend to play badminton for CUCMS this Friday. Its a friendly match between CUCMS and USIM.

Thursday night, I read an email from Iffah telling about mukhayyam that i'm going to miss. i feel unease. am i not included among people who Allah chose to join the mukhayyam. no. i don't want to be left out. if i miss this program, it means that i am not istiqamah with 'dakwah islamiah'.

Quickly i text iffah and tell her that i want to join and find someone to replace me for the match. So,I stay up the whole night to do assignment before went to the mukhayyam. Alhamdulillah...among numbers of ahli usrah in CUCMS, i am one of 4 people who have join the mukhayyam. O..Allah..i am so grateful that You still give me chance.

The mukhayyam was held at ulu langat(impian resort). i went there with a friend. while in the car, she told me, it was hard for her to make the decision of joining the mukhayyam because her family is going on holiday. but finally, she chooses to attend the mukhayyam instead of going holiday with family because of surah at-Taubah(38-47) that she read. what's inside the verse;

Allah said:

(And if they had intended to march out,), with you to participate in Jihad,

(certainly, they would have made some preparation for it) they would have prepared for such task,

(but Allah was averse to their being sent forth) Allah hated that they should go with you,

(so He made them lag behind, and stay away ﴿from Jihad,

(and it was said (to them): "Sit you among those who sit (at home)as a part of what was decreed for them ﴿not that He legislated that they stay behind﴾. Allah then explained why He disliked that they march with the believers, saying,

(Had they marched out with you, they would have added to you nothing except disorder), because they are cowards and failures,

(and they would have hurried about in your midst sowing sedition among you) They would have rushed to spread false stories, hatred and discord among you,

(and there are some among you who would have listened to them.) who would have obeyed them, given preference to their speech and words and asked them for advice, unaware of the true reality of these hypocrites. This might have caused corruption and great evil between the believers. Muhammad bin Ishaq said, "Those who sought permission (from the Messenger to lag behind) included some of the chiefs, such as `Abdullah bin Ubayy bin Salul and Al-Jadd bin Qays, who were masters of their people. Allah also made them lag behind because He knew that if they went along with the Messenger they would sow sedition in his army.'' There were some in the Prophet's army who liked these chiefs and were ready to obey them, because they considered them honorable,

This verse really touch my heart as if, if I not participate the mukhayyam, i am included among those who lag behind. and if i lag behind, it means that Allah don't want me anymore in this jihad. Attending this mukhayyam is also jihad because definition of Jihad is spending our energy toward spreading Islam for the sake of Allah. We learn a lot about jihad and other elements in bai'ah during the mukhayyam.

i learn a lot of other things thru out the program. One of them is ukhuwwah. Although we know each other for only 2 days, but the ukhuwwah that we had was really beautiful. Thank you to Im who has lent me the jacket when i was shivering that night. Thank you Kak Aisyah and Farhana who always ask me whether i'm ok or not since i had vomiting and diarrhea on the first day of mukhayyam. i really hope that i can meet them again next time. InsyaALLAH...
